Released Gould's turkey flies into conservation history - Feb. 16, 2011
SONOITA, Ariz. -- With a quick flapping of powerful wings, a Gould's turkey flew its way into history books Feb. 9, becoming the 200,000th wild turkey in the U.S. to be captured and released back into the wild.

Draw results for spring hunts are now available - Nov. 20, 2009
The more than 35,000 hunters who applied for a tag to hunt spring turkey, javelina, buffalo or bear in 2010 can find out if they were drawn by visiting the Arizona Game and Fish Department?s Web site at www.azgfd.gov/draw or by calling (602) 942-3000 (option 2).

Fall draw results now available for Arizona?s big game and pheasant hunters - Jul. 31, 2009
The 2009 fall drawing process for big game and pheasant hunts is complete, and the more than 106,000 applicants can now find out if they?ve been drawn by visiting the Arizona Game and Fish Department?s Web site at www.azgfd.gov/draw.

Arizona Game and Fish hosts open houses for spring big game and fall waterfowl hunting recommendations - Jul. 31, 2009
The proposed spring hunt recommendations for the 2010 spring turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear regulations, as well as the recommendations for 2009?10 waterfowl and snipe regulations, are available now for review at all of the Arizona Game and Fish Department?s regional offices.

Spring Hunting Regulations Printed and in Stores Now - Sep. 15, 2008
Sportsmen in pursuit of turkey, javelina, buffalo and bear can now find printed copies of the 2009 spring hunting regulations at Arizona Game and Fish Department offices and license dealers statewide. The deadline to apply for hunt permit-tags is Tuesday, Oct. 14 by 7 p.m. (MST).
