Merriams turkey hunting at the Rockin' 7 Ranch gives hunters an opportunity to look over a lot of birds and a lot of land. We drive the ridges and use calls to try and raise a bird. Once located we can stalk into position and then call, bringing the birds right in to us. We hunt mornings and afternoons, with the best time being about 3-4 p.m. when the toms are by themselves and are quick to answer a call.
