“This free clinic will be beneficial for anyone wanting to take up the sport or hunters who want to improve their skills,” said Kelsey Obernuefemann, a wildlife education specialist with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission. “The timing of the clinic is opportune, with spring turkey hunting season opening on April 9th.”
Topics covered in the clinic will include:
* Calling
* Habits and habitats
* Scouting and hunting techniques
* Equipment, ammo, and firearms
* Safety and hunting requirements
Space is limited and pre-registration for the clinic is requested. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
For more information or to register, please contact Obernuefemann at (919) 707-0202 or kelsey.obernuefemann@ncwildlife.org.
