"Citizen Conservationists" Asked to Report Wild Turkey Flock Sightings - Jan. 14, 2011
CONCORD, N.H. - If you see a flock of wild turkeys in New Hampshire this winter, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department would like to hear about it. For the third consecutive year, citizens are being asked to report sightings of turkey flocks seen from now through March 31, 2011, by filling out a simple electronic survey form posted on the Fish and Game website at www.wildnh.com/turkeysurvey. You can also reach the survey by going to www.wildnh.com and clicking on "2011 Winter Turkey Flock Survey." Please do not report multiple sightings of the same flock.

2011 Spring Turkey Permit Application Information - Jan. 14, 2011
The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife will open the Spring Turkey Permit Application Period on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Applications can be made either on-line using the online license and permit Web site or by going to any license agent. The application period remains open until 11:59 pm on February 22, 2011, and applicants can review and edit their applications online until the application period closes.

Turkey hunters have more time this year than they have traditionally had in the past to apply for this spring?s hunt, either electronically or by telephone. The deadline to apply for the 2011 spring season has been extended by about two weeks. Applications are now being accepted through Friday, Jan. 14, wherever hunting and fishing licenses are sold, and online.

Southwest Colorado Late Youth Turkey Season - Nov. 15, 2010
The Colorado Division of Wildlife is reminding young hunters to take advantage of the special late turkey season in southwest Colorado. This year's hunt is Nov. 20-28.

Spring turkey season dates set by AGFC - Oct. 21, 2010
LITTLE ROCK - Commissioners with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission today approved an 18-day spring turkey season. The season framework was approved after a review of recent harvests, brood surveys and gobbling chronology data along with input from turkey hunters.

Fall Turkey Season Opens In Western Maryland - Oct. 18, 2010
Annapolis, Md. (October 18, 2010) - Maryland's fall turkey season will open Saturday, October 30 and will continue through November 6, 2010. Fall turkey hunting is only permitted in Garrett, Allegany and Washington counties with a bag limit of one turkey per hunter.

Ohio's Fall Wild Turkey Hunting Season Underway - Oct. 15, 2010
Hunters harvested 295 wild turkeys during the first five days of Ohio's fall wild turkey hunting season, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Wildlife. The season opened on October 9 and will run through November 28.
